Proverbs 27:23 says, "Be sure to know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds." If we know what we are after, we will pursue it with more zip! Plan out what you want to accomplish. Your career matters. All people must have a profitable profession or business. Productive labor is God's will. Also, each person must take care to see to it that their business is on track for success or it can easily disappear. So, business foresight and analysis is a part of wisdom. Never "put down" your business or your occupation. If you are always criticizing your business, God can take it away from you. We must appreciate what pays our bills and takes care of our needs. Until you are able to change your circumstances through higher education etc... be thankful! A job or business is a blessing from God and he expects us to take good care of them.
Riches
are not permanent and economic success is temporary. The employment and
business world can change drastically and quickly can swallow up those
who do not diligently provide of for the future. Diligence and
foresight is necessary and is commanded from God. We have all been
taught to strive to apply ourselves towards professional expertise that
keeps us on the edge of competence. The changes of life can come and
steal away our success.
We should also remember that God is our true employer. Read
Ephesians 6:10. If your work is not a
source
of joy you might be on the wrong job! There are a lot of people on jobs
that are just temporary, in route to something more suitable for them
later. Also, laziness is a part of human nature, so we must
continue to operate our business or career with as the same intensity
that we had the day we began.
Wise people change with the time and trends of their industry and or company. Is your job still in demand? Is your profession in decline? Do you need further training, improved skills, become bi-lingual? Do you have a plan A, B, or C that will take you ten years down the road? We need to keep ourselves valuable and marketable in order to become all God wants us to be. In order to be successful in the future get the skills you need to be successful. You also need to look at the future viability of you career or job or business and make changes accordingly.
Do your best in providing for your future and then trust in God who
holds the future!
So,
what are your goals? Take time to determine what your true goals are in
your life. Then get along with God and His Word so that he can help you
to understand what it is he desires for you and your life. Write down
every single dream and goal that you would like to accomplish. Cut out
pictures in magazines, newspapers etc... and post them so you can see
them every day. This will motivate you to visualize what you would like
to do. Choose the top three. Then write three actions you can do now to
move you toward your goals.
When you obey God he will send people into
your life to help make the goals
become a reality that He desires for your life.
NOTE: Planning cures confusion!
Opportunity is a
blessing from God, it is not however guaranteed. Wise people exploit
them for great gain and honor. The wise person will seize a door of
opportunity, while the foolish person will miss the door, believes it
will always be there. Your opportunity is
NOW!!!
