WISDOM FOR WINNING: joy
Proverbs
17:22 says, "A merry heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries
up the bones." The saying "Laughter is the best medicine", was
taught by Solomon 3000 years ago.
Did you know
that a merry heart or a broken spirit is a choice? If we have the joy of
the Lord in our life, it will be merry, regardless of our
circumstances. Sin destroys a merry heart. You can not be happy
out side the fellowship of God. Those who laugh and enjoy life will
live longer.
When we have joy in our life, our whole attitude changes. True joy
is deeper than happiness. Happiness is temporary because it is based on
external circumstances and opinions, but joy is lasting because it is
based on God's presence within us.
Doing things that matter for the betterment of someone else or the world will give you more joy. These things are what will last for eternity! Joy is solely the result of your reaction to life, your assignment to turning every moment into a growth experience.
Wisdom is a great source of joy. With wisdom, we understand the world in which we live in and our assignment in it! Remember, the JOY of the Lord is in US. It is directly connected to our mouth. Remember, that as we understand the future God has for us, we will experience unbelievable joy.
We
are to enjoy life and live it to the fullest. Do it! Live each day with
the joy of where you are going to spend eternity!
