Proverbs 3:1: My son do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in
your heart, Keeping our hearts is one of our top priority, for out of it
are the issues of life. Our heart directs our life, so we should
keep the wisdom of obedience in it.
Hearing instruction is not enough. People remember the things that are important to them. It is not a function of memory; it is a function or their priorities.
We are to be doers of God's word, not just hearers, deceiving ourselves. Those who seek instruction, remember it, and continue to do it (repetition) will surely be blessed. It is our duty to hear instruction carefully and bring forth good fruit. Where are you in respect to this?
Remind
yourself daily that you want a heart of
obedience.
We sometimes get distracted by our daily life and forget God is looking
at our heart. Be aware of the conflicts between what you deep-down
want, and the desires of the flesh that get in the way. Once you
understand the inner conflicts, it will be easier to make choices that
keeps your heart obedient. Make sure to pursue what you
objectively know is right not what society tells you. If you want
a obedient heart, then seek out wisdom that enables you to recognize the
right decisions to receive one.
Obedience is
the only place to WIN!
